GeoTec event 2009, Vancouver June 1-4, 2009

The Automated CAD & GIS Integration for Better Asset Data Management Workshop:

Over the next few days I will placing the presentations from vendors, consultants and users on this blog. I welcome any comments or contributions to the discussion.

The workshop speakers included:
  • Mike Schlosser, Geospatial Specialist, Autodesk
  • Don Murray, President, Safe Software
  • Martin Tilt, GIS Analyst, City of Vancouver
  • Mark Millman, Principal, Mizar
  • Dan Campbell, Manager Graphics, City of Vancouver
  • Dave Shearon, Geospatial Specialist, Bentley Systems
  • Chris North, Director of Technology, ESRI Canada

The Conference was held at the Vancouver Convention Center, in a spectacular site at Canada Place, Downtown Vancouver.

I was lucky enough to have time for sightseeing and I took and bus, a cablecar and a chairlift to the top of Grouse Mountain for the fantastic view looking down on Vancouver.

On the way back I stopped off at the famous Capilano Bridge.

After the Conference, I walked around Stanley Park and later took a ferry to Granville Island.
